Liking where this is going

I've been having a lot of trouble with this aesthetic direction lately, because of the contradictory requirements. It needs to be anthropomorphic, but rugged. but something rugged and chiseled looking wouldn't seem to belong on a persons body. I've decided to try to have the cfm convey the rugged side of things while letting the form be a bit smoother. figured out my knee mechanics! now to do the ankle, foot and socket haha
